DAMN LAH, what can we do with 15 sen only??
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said RON97 petrol now costs RM2.55 a litre, a drop of 15 sen from RM2.70 a litre while the price of RON92 went down by 22 sen to RM2.40 a litre. - The Star
Again, our dear PM lied to us. A few days ago, he announced that there wouldn't be new fuel prices before the polling day for the Permatang Pauh by-election. But yesterday, our dear PM slapped his own face and announced the new fuel prices. The news seems like a good thing to the citizens because the prices have been reduced. But actually, the dropping is damn fucking little compare to the latest hiking in June, it is only a 15 sen drop from RM2.70 a litre. Starting today, I am paying RM2.55 instead of RM2.70. I can't see the difference at all!!
Before I continue writing, I have to clarify that paying RM2.70 isn't a problem for me. I do not feel a pain at all for paying more for fuel because the fuel prices are relatively low compare to our neighbouring countries such as Singapore and Thailand. Actually, if our money go to the government for a good purpose and I am expecting the money are to be used for the development of our country, I am absolutely okay with it. But no, the money goes into somebody's pockets for personal usage. I am not talking cock.
I have some friends, who came from wealthy family whose their fathers are the Ministers, or someone who have good relationship with someone with a high-post people in the Ministry department; Their fathers are doing very well too just because of the relationships and the background of people they know. My friends did not disclose anything about their fathers' business to me, but it doesn't take a genius to understand the whole situation here.
When comes to development, there are people who will propose and run the projects, and the government will pay for it. And these people who do the jobs are, nonetheless, those who have got lead to the Ministries involved. How I know?? Let me ask you, if you do not have any information and connection to the government body, how can you get your proposal read by the Ministers?? You think our Ministers are so fucking free to meet you anytime?? They are fucking busy one you know!! But I do not know what they are busy with, maybe you can check it out and tell me about it.
What I can see from the current situation is, all the government projects have not gone through an open-tender procedure, the process is not transparent. There are many problems to this. Firstly, there is a suspicious of internal-decision made by the involved Ministries. If an internal-decisison is the way to go, then I'm interested in getting to know how the decisions are made, what are the criterias that the Ministries will look into before they make a decision to appoint the contractors in a project.
Secondly, internal-decision is the root-cause of corruption cases, do you agree with me?? In a non-tranparent procedure, basically we, the outsiders, do not know what is happening inside or throughout the process. But, do we have the rights to know about it?? Of course we must know everything about the process because the government are using our money for the projects. We have contribution to it, then we have the rights to know where our money has gone into, and how the government are going to spend with our money. If the money is used to build a bridges for the benefits of the citizens, I will thumb-up for the decision. If the money is used to buy Ferraris and Porsches for the Ministers' children and mistresses, I will __ (diu) the government up-side-down.
Thirdly, without an open-tender procedure, there are many potential tenders or good proposals declined before they can get to the Ministry, just because the potential tenders do not have enough money to buy leads to get into the Ministry. If you think you are able to offer a lower price and better quality for a government project, I think you are the one who should be selected. But the first thing you need to do is to buy connections in order to have your proposal or tenders successfully go into the tender list. In this case, the price is usually higher because of the connection fees but no worries, our government will pay for it with our money. But is the connection fees are necessary?? I do not know, you have to tell me...
Over the years, we pay tax every year without fail but what we got is the high-inflation rate of this country. Because of high-inflation, we have to pay more for everything and consequently, most people in our country are suffering from it. We only can afford the most basic living-style no matter how hardworking we are due to inflation. As a working person that I am, I am trying all I can to change my lifestyle, I am doing all I can to upgrade my living-style, I am hoping that I can get retired as soon as possible to enjoy life, this is the main purpose of working. But no, the economy in our country doesn't allow so.
I see many people are working very hard like dogs but their living standard has not been improved at all. The ones who could afford the lousy Proton are still driving a Proton, probably a newer model, but still a Proton. You think buying Proton is showing patriotism?? Lan-jiao!! What about the Terengganu governemnt?? They are flaming the Proton's quality. The Terengganu government had been a long time sohai for using Proton as the excos' car and now, they realised it. They are replacing their lousy Proton with Mercedes Benz. I do not object their idea, I think it is good for them. Actually, I salute Ahmad for his daring action. The rest of the Menteri Besar are still squeezing their own balls for continuing with their lousy Proton.
Ahmad is sending us a message, he is telling us that we have to upgrade, we must improve, we must change!! He has done it successfully, he is my role-model. I believe that most people are doing all they can to get rid of Proton but some are able to do it, and the unlucky ones are the victims to the high-inflation rate. They are still squeezing their own balls because they could only purchase a newer model of Proton, which still have the power-windows issue. The country economy policy have put the citizens into a very difficult condition. After so many years of fighting for a better life, they are only able to afford the most basic life. This is a shame, a shame to the country because their citizens' life have not been improved!!
But, our Ministers are getting richer and richer, same goes to those who have good relationship with the Ministers. They all get rich together, but it is only a fucking small group of people. Most people are still suffering from the high-inflation and the petrol prices will surely affect their livings without a doubt. 78 sen increased against 15 sen drop, seriously this doesn't help much for the people. I fucking believe that the drop of fuel prices announced yesterday is only a strategy of the Permatang Pauh by-election. As I have mentioned earlier, BN will do all they can to win this time and petrol is one of their weapon, their winning chips. It only took a few days to prove what I am thinking is absolutely correct.
Hello Mr.Government, 15 sen is nothing today due to your country high-inflation rate. Last time, the fresh-grads were getting RM1,800 as their starting pay. Today, they are getting the same amount as their starting pay too, but they have to pay more for food, for rental, petrol, public transports, highway tolls and everything. Can you see the problems here?? Do you know why?? The reason is because you did not use our money in the correct way, you did not spend the money efficiently and wisely, you did not use the money to make more money for us, for our country. Singapore petrol prices are higher compare to Malaysia, but their government build all the facilities for their conveniences, good public transport system, a clean country, and a lot more, these are all the Singaporean government could give to the citizens. But what have our government done to us?? After so many fucking years the rail-transportation implemented, the PM recently had a bitter taste recently, of the lousy service of the rail-transportation in Kuala Lumpur. But do you know that we have been suffering from this for so many fucking years?? If Mr.PM were to take the bus service, I think he will puke immediately in the bus.
Mr.Government, please do not waste our money, please properly use our money for our country development and not for your own pocket development. Your Minister-friends are driving Mercedes Benz, we also want to drive Mercedes Benz kay!! Please help us to improve our livings, please help us to drive Benz like you!! CHEEBYE!!

I agree with you 100% on this, especially the Singapore and Malaysia comparison.
As a Malaysian working in Singapore, I must say that the Singapore have far much better facilities than Malaysia.
Cleaner environment, punctual public transport, heck there's even an active community committee responding to the residents complaints and such in each area...
